Coronavirus (Updated 17/03/2020)

A message from Andy, our Pastor:

Dear Friends,

You will no doubt have been following the latest news and updated government advice about the Coronavirus outbreak. Following this updated advice, and taking into account advice from Baptists Together, we will be stopping all of our activities and meetings at the church building. The only activities that will continue at this time are foodbank distribution and the winter night shelter.

This does not mean that the church is closed. The church, after all, is the people, not the building! We will continue to meet together in different ways, making the most of modern technology where we can, and being the body of Christ as we continue to keep in touch and care for one another.

We will be arranging to broadcast a live stream on Sunday morning at 10:30 and would encourage everyone that is able to be a part of this. We hope to make it as easily accessible as possible, and as interactive as we can. Further details of how to join this will be sent by email and posted on our website in the coming days.

Please can I encourage you to follow all the government advice as we seek to love our neighbour by doing our part to avoid strain on the NHS and ensure the most vulnerable are protected. This is also a time when we need to continue to care for one another as the body of Christ. Please keep in touch with others in the congregation, especially those who will be more isolated during this time and may need additional support. You can start by making sure those you know are aware of the content of this email!

Further updates will follow, and we will be adapting our response as this situation continues to develop. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me, or call the church office on 01753 523058.

Yours in Christ,

We are a large and diverse group of people who meet in the town centre of Slough. The church is made up of all sorts of people, from babies to the elderly, people from all over the world, and people from all sorts of backgrounds, but we all meet together to worship God and be transformed to live lives showing Jesus' love.

Everyone is really welcome to join us, whether you've made a decision to follow Jesus or not, we hope that as we worship and explore the bible together we will all learn more about the plans God has for us and we'll grow in faith.

The fellowship was founded in 1894, and has continued throughout the years to change its ministry to try and meet the needs of our community. If you'd like to find out more about what we believe and our activities please use the links above.
